White pen balanced on two smooth stacked surfaces reflecting sacred and unseen dimensions in modern poetry

An invitation into a way of seeing — through poetry, textual theology, and micro-texts.

In Dialogue with the Divine

I write to listen —

to the world,

to what lies unseen,

and to the shifting voices within.

My poems invite you

to dwell,

to feel,

and to wander

between language

and the spaces where self,

reality,

and the divine

converge.

My Father Roams the Land (2019)

Born from a deep, primordial impulse, My Father Roams the Land gives voice to hidden currents flowing through the Jewish mystical tradition—from biblical and rabbinic texts to Kabbalistic and Hasidic thought.

The poems trace an inner dialogue toward union—between the human and the Divine, the self and its many faces, creation and Creator—revealing a reality that is at once fragmented and whole.

Written in Hebrew, this debut collection was published with the support of the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts and the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Reflections of His Heart (2024)

Reflections of His Heart is my second collection of Hebrew poetry and a companion volume to My Father Roams the Land.

Drawing once again on ancient texts, Jewish mysticism, and esoteric traditions, these poems continue an inward journey into symbolic and sacred landscapes.

Rich in ritual, symbolism, and layered imagery, the collection moves beyond the visible and the familiar, inviting the reader into an intimate dialogue with the self, the Divine, and the timeless.

About

I am Michal Bar-Or Karro, a poet and writer. My work moves through shifting voices and inner landscapes, tracing the delicate intersections of thought, emotion, and imagination.

In conversation with ancient Jewish texts, mysticism, and the wisdom of the Jewish tradition, my poetry unfolds beyond time and place, seeking the hidden threads that bind the human and the Divine, the visible and the unseen, the fleeting moment and the eternal.

“The path to the depths of the soul must emerge from within—
from the concealed and conflicted, from a forgotten self seeking renewal.”
